With that in mind, why am I thinking about partitioning 100 hours of playtime for Mass Effect Legendary Edition in May? This is due to the way BioWare rebalances Galaxy at War. This is especially true of Mass Effect 2, where I was lucky enough to get the “No One Left Behind” achievement on my first run, only to find that Act 3 had slightly dire consequences some time later. I’m still happy with the decisions I made in 2007, 2010, and 2012, and I’m pretty confident that I will make the same decisions again in the most important moments of Mass Effect. If you can fully embody a role like Commander Shepard’s, and take on every situation as you would be at this time and in this place, you should be able to determine the content of the credits with the cause and effect of your choices. When you don’t have the time to explore every branch of a malleable narrative, or at least check out the various permutations on YouTube, I always feel that games like Mass Effect can only be played once as long as they are approached honestly and honestly with integrity. This is especially true for role-playing games that are based on choice and consistency.
